# A Pinterest Guide for Marketers \[Infographic\]
[Social Media](https://blog.velocity23.com/blog/topic/social-media)
As a marketer you just can't ignore Pinterest.
It is the fastest growing social site out there - it is the fastest standalone site to cross the 10 million user mark.
So yeah, it beat Facebook on that one!
So the question a marketing pro needs to ask is not "Should we be pinning" but "How can we be pinning more?"
Check out this Pinterest guide for some interesting facts and tips on how you can use Pinterest to increase your reach.
Looking for a few more tidbits? Well, check these out:
- Make sure you set up a business account and verify your website so you can track your progress with the analytics program built into Pinterest.
- #Hashtags work on Pinterest and increase your searchability online.
- Taller pins tend to be more popular.
Remember, Pinterest is about sharing info so don't always just pin your content and/or products! However, you do want to make sure you have more of your stuff than someone else's!
