You want to make sure you're making a good first impression on this social media network - I mean, come on! LinkedIn has over 135 million members all over the world! Do you want to miss out on that?!

When you're working on LinkedIn remember these key points:
- Complete your profile with as much info as you can. Doing only the bare minimum here will ensure people skip over your profile.
- The more direct connections you have, the larger your network. Don't be shy!
- Customization mean more clicks on your site info.
- Let your personality shine through!
- Write recommendations. The more you give, the more you get.
- Groups: these aren't like Facebook. Join as many of these as you can as long as they're relevant to what you want. There's some great discussions that happen in groups!
- Make sure your company has a profile set up as well. More exposure for them and for you.
- You can optimize your rankings by using keywords :)
- Do some searching for apps that you can us to promote you and your work on LinkedIn.
