If one of your goals for this year is to get more Facebook likes for your business so you can attract more customers, you're going to love this post. I'm going to show you how to easily, in only five minutes a day, double your Facebook likes for your business page.

Be Social

One of the big keys to social media that most business owners forget is the word "social". And a platform like Facebook lets you be social in ways that would seem very odd for most businesses, at least outside of the world of Facebook.

Use Copromotion

Copromotion, for example, is a great way to reach outside of your current fan base. Reaching out to other Facebook page admins that are in touch with your market is a great way to do this. Another example of copromotion would be if you were a home builder and you could promote a local furniture store (maybe one that has pieces in your showhomes?) to your fans through a series of posts on your Facebook page.

Publish Great Content

Another very important factor in getting more Facebook likes is your content. People want your content to be a way to inform others about things they care about. It should have the potential to change opinions or encourage actions from people.

Images And Video

Images and video are extremely strong on Facebook. In fact, as of today, Facebook's algorithm is very heavily weighted towards video. This means that when you post a video on Facebook, it's much easier to get a higher organic reach. Keep in mind that shorter videos do much better (we're talking under three minutes). Also, memes are very effective, people like to share them.

Contests

Contest are also an excellent way to get a lot more like us to your page very quickly. Note: you must ensure that your contest is in accordance with current Facebook terms and policies.

Remember, you should be promoting your Facebook page everywhere; all of your advertising materials, business cards, events and more.
